PM Modi is visiting Saudi Arabia at the invitation of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday departed for Saudi Arabia for his two-day visit from April 22 and 23. PM Modi is visiting Saudi Arabia at the invitation of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman.
Before leaving, PM Modi took to X and wrote, “Leaving for Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where I will be attending various meetings and programmes. India values our historic relations with Saudi Arabia.”
“Bilateral ties have gained significant momentum in the last decade. I look forward to participating in the 2nd Meeting of the Strategic Partnership Council. I will also be interacting with the Indian community there,” he added.

Ahead of his visit, PM Modi described Saudi Arabia as one of India’s most “trusted friends” and noted the “limitless potential” of the growing ties between the two countries. Notably, this marks his third visit to the Middle East country, following previous trips to Riyadh in 2016 and 2019.
PM Modi’s Saudi Arabia Visit
Prime Minister Modi and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman will jointly chair the second meeting of the 2nd Strategic Partnership Council, a body established during Modi’s 2019 visit to enhance bilateral relations.
PM Modi is also set to meet the Indian community and discuss opportunities for the two sides to exchange views on regional issues. PM Modi’s visit is set to witness key discussions around the conflicts in West Asia and Europe, with particular focus on the ongoing situation in Gaza and Ukraine.
